"Hazel" your Groomer is a San Diego, California transplant moving to Central Texas December of 2021 shortly after graduating from the Animal Behavioral College (ABC). Having a long time love of animals and at the time a 120lbs double coated dog herself she was looking to save what was a $300 plus bill when getting her fur baby groomed. Of course in 2021 she was working in food service when COVID hit and everything shut down giving her the push to pursue another trade. The certification program ABC offered an online studying course with ways to test the 13 chapters by submitting videos, photographic evidence along with testing each chapter with multiple choice questions and essay submissions. It took 7 months of studying and applying what she learned on friends and family members' pets to begin the externship with a shop that specialized in comfort grooming for senior and disabled pets. After three months she was able to complete the required hours to graduate. She has worked at boarding facilities, privately owned shops and franchise run facilities with each experience helping to grow and reinforce her passion for helping to educate parents and honing her grooming skills. Grooming continues to evolve throughout the years and she keeps herself updated through online education and seminars so when grooming becomes a licensed required profession she will already be up to date.
